WITH Deepest Gratitude

After nearly 40 wonderful years, The Ice House Café closed its doors on January 1st, 2019. While goodbyes can be bittersweet, we are incredibly grateful to all of the patrons who have supported us over the years, in particular, the locals.

The Ice House Café gave us all a place to feel at home in Herndon, and we feel privileged to have been the place of memories and special occasions, first dates and marriage proposals, birthday parties and graduation celebrations, the everyday and the extraordinary. We have always endeavored to elevate the dining experience with our food and music.

Once again, thank you for the support throughout all these years.

“Great Food, Great live jazz and huge selection of fresh oysters. I have eaten here over a dozen times and loved the food every time. I usually grab something off the specials. I believe last time I had a great rack of lamb. It can get a bit crowded in here, and the front bar can get really packed. So try and get there a little early if you plan on enjoying some music after dinner in the bar”
“The food and service were excellent, and we really enjoyed Mike Flaherty’s dixieland jazz quartet that performed Saturday night. We were at the table immediately in front of the band and had a great time interacting with them. We stayed until early into their 3rd set. There are plenty of tables in the back room of the restaurant for people who might want a little quieter dinner. All in all, an extremely pleasant evening”
“Come in here for happy hour occasionally and have never been disappointed. Great draft selection and the bartender Dan is very knowledgeable! Oysters are always fantastic as well as everything else on the bar menu. Love this place! A Gem of a place and would stack it up against any place in the DC Metro area”
